Taxpayer Facilitation Officer

About the role

The Taxpayer Facilitation Officer will serve as the front‑line point of contact for taxpayers at help‑desk counters in Quetta. You will guide individuals and businesses through tax registration, return filing, and compliance under Federal and Provincial tax laws, helping to broaden the tax base.

Key responsibilities

• Assist taxpayers with registration, income tax returns, wealth statements and related documents.
• Provide guidance on Federal and Provincial taxes, including Income Tax, Sales Tax on Goods and Services.
• Identify potential taxpayers using property, land and other records.
• Review property documents (sale deeds, transfer letters, allotment letters) for tax purposes.
• Prepare and issue notices for unregistered or non‑compliant taxpayers.
• Support taxpayers in using online tax portals and related systems.
• Maintain interaction records and generate periodic reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an HEC‑recognized university (Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, IT or related field).
• 1–3 years of experience in taxpayer facilitation, tax administration or customer service.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with internet‑based tools and online tax portals.
