About the role

The Team Leader – Compliance Operations will oversee the screening and processing of transactions against sanction lists for all branches. The role ensures timely and accurate review of names, entities, and countries, escalating any hits to the compliance team.

Key responsibilities

Review and approve transactions with 100 % accuracy, meeting established delivery standards and turnaround times.
Escalate any sanction hits to the compliance team for approval and ensure all transactions are processed before end‑of‑day cut‑off.
Coordinate closely with the compliance team to obtain updates on sanction screening and resolve queries.
Identify process gaps, recommend system improvements, and enhance efficiency to minimise risk.

Required profile

4–6 years of experience in a compliance unit of a bank.
Good knowledge of general banking rules and regulations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint.
