Team Leader – Financial Services

About the role

The Team Leader will head a high‑performing team operating in a fast‑paced, regulated financial services environment. You will be responsible for driving performance, ensuring quality, and fostering a supportive culture where team members are motivated and clear on expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team to consistently meet performance and quality targets.
• Create a supportive environment that encourages accountability and high productivity.
• Provide regular coaching, feedback and performance management to improve individual and team outcomes.
• Act as the first escalation point for complex or sensitive cases.
• Build strong relationships with senior management and deliver clear, data‑driven insights.
• Identify performance gaps early and implement proactive corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support change initiatives and help the team adapt to new ways of working.
• Champion a positive, high‑performance culture based on ownership and accountability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Team Leader role, preferably within financial services or a regulated environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge effectively.
• Experience managing performance, including coaching under‑performance.
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting insights.
• Well‑organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Solution‑focused, resilient and comfortable working in a fast‑paced setting.
• Genuine desire to learn and develop within a specialist industry.
