Team Leader – Financial Services Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join a fast‑paced, regulated financial services organisation. The role will oversee an operations team, ensuring high performance, quality standards and continuous development of team members.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team to consistently meet performance and quality targets.
• Create a supportive environment where expectations are clear and motivation high.
• Drive productivity and accountability while maintaining a strong focus on quality.
• Provide regular coaching, feedback and act as the first point of escalation for complex or sensitive cases.
• Build strong relationships with senior management and deliver clear, meaningful insights.
• Identify performance gaps early and implement proactive corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support change initiatives and help the team adapt to new ways of working.
• Champion a positive, high‑performance culture based on ownership and accountability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Team Leader role, preferably within a regulated financial services or debt‑solutions environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage performance, including coaching under‑performance.
• Highly organised with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Resilient, solutions‑focused and eager to learn within a specialist industry.
