Team Leader – Utilities (Kabirwala Factory)

About the role

The Utilities Team Leader will oversee the operation and maintenance of all industrial services at the Kabirwala factory, ensuring high efficiency, reliability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role drives continuous improvement, asset management, and supports production through optimal water, energy, and utility performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, modify, and improve plant equipment, utilities infrastructure, and related processes.
• Lead day‑to‑day operations of utilities to achieve reliability, water and energy optimization, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in budgeting, cost monitoring, and financial tracking for utilities.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maintain 100% availability.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis (RCA) and DMAIC investigations on breakdowns and implement permanent fixes.
• Manage quality, environmental, and safety compliance through monitoring and audits.
• Support competence‑building plans, delivering technical training for thermal, refrigeration, water, and power operations.
• Identify and drive energy‑ and water‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial services engineering, operations, and maintenance, preferably in a food‑manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with steam and ammonia systems.
• Proven ability to supervise operations and maintenance teams, contractors, or third parties.
• Familiarity with system design, erection, commissioning, and support.
• Strong problem‑solving skills using RCA and DMAIC methodologies.
• Effective communication and leadership capabilities.
