Technical 3D Printing Specialist

About the role

BrickCAD is seeking a hands‑on Technical 3D Printing Specialist with over three years of practical experience in additive manufacturing. The position combines 3D printer operation, troubleshooting, print optimisation, technical support, and assistance to the sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, calibrate and maintain FDM, SLA and MSLA printers.
• Prepare and optimise 3D models, configure slicing parameters and select appropriate materials.
• Troubleshoot common print failures such as warping, stringing, layer shifting and adhesion issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning and component replacement.
• Inspect printed parts for quality, accuracy and defects, and carry out basic post‑processing.
• Advise customers on technology choices, material properties, resolution and finishing options.
• Handle technical inquiries, quotations and follow‑ups, and support product demonstrations.
• Coordinate with the CAD/design team to modify models when required and keep detailed job records.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in 3D printing or additive manufacturing.
• Strong practical knowledge of FDM, SLA and MSLA technologies and related materials.
• Proficiency with slicing software and print‑parameter optimisation.
• Understanding of printer calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Basic familiarity with 3D CAD file formats (STL, OBJ, 3MF).
• Excellent technical problem‑solving and communication skills.
