Trainee HSE Engineer (Entry‑Level)

About the role

Crescent Steel and Allied Products Limited is seeking a dynamic individual to join its Steel Division as a Trainee HSE Engineer. This entry‑level position provides on‑the‑job training in health, safety and environment (HSE) management, with the goal of developing the trainee into an Assistant Engineer after the training period.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge of the company’s HSE management system through training and observation.
• Conduct daily HSE inspections, safety walk‑throughs and support incident reporting.
• Maintain records of incidents, near‑misses, risk assessments, fire equipment inspections and HSE observations.
• Assist in incident/accident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Support emergency drills, firefighting equipment inspections and environmental monitoring.
• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation in line with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and relevant legal requirements.
• Help organise HSE training, safety talks and awareness initiatives.
• Assist in internal and external HSE audits and coordinate compliance follow‑up with other departments.
• Monitor PPE compliance, maintain PPE matrices and update HSE KPI dashboards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the integrated QHSE management system (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, API Q1).

Required profile

• BE degree in Safety, Environment, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Metallurgy.
• NEBOSH IGC or IOSH certification preferred.
• Maximum age 28 years.
• Fresh graduate to 1 year of relevant experience.

• Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and API Q1 standards.
• Incident investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• CAPA implementation.
• PPE compliance monitoring.
• KPI dashboard creation and data analysis.
• Environmental monitoring and waste‑management record keeping.
• HSE audit support.
• NEBOSH IGC or IOSH (preferred).

What we offer

• Market‑compatible salary.
• Bond of PKR 300,000 for 2 years and vesting amount of PKR 6,000 per month for 3 years, refundable upon completion.
