UI/UX Designer for Healthcare POS Desktop Application

About the role

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to own the end‑to‑end experience of a healthcare POS desktop application built on .NET WPF for the US pharmacy market. You will shape workflows such as prescription intake, billing, inventory, patient lookup, and reporting, ensuring the product feels fast, predictable, and trustworthy for front‑desk staff and pharmacists.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end user flows for core POS features, from intake to reporting.
• Create wireframes, high‑fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma.
• Build and maintain a desktop design system with reusable components that map to WPF/WinUI controls.
• Partner with .NET developers and product managers to deliver pixel‑accurate implementations, providing specs, redlines, and assets.
• Translate complex healthcare workflows into simple, low‑friction UI patterns.
• Design for high‑density desktop screens, keyboard‑first navigation, barcode scanner inputs, and dense data tables.
• Conduct usability reviews with pharmacists and front‑desk staff and iterate based on feedback.

Required profile

• 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, preferably with desktop or enterprise software.
• Strong portfolio showcasing data‑heavy or workflow‑heavy interfaces (POS, EMR, ERP, dashboards, admin panels).
• Expert command of Figma, including auto‑layout, variables, component libraries, and prototyping.
• Working understanding of .NET desktop UI frameworks (WPF, WinForms, or WinUI 3) and how designs translate to XAML.
• Clear written and verbal English communication for collaboration with US stakeholders.
• Bonus: experience in healthcare, pharmacy, retail POS, or HIPAA‑aware environments.
