UI/UX Designer (Product Designer)

About the role

Huzzle connects talent with in-house roles at leading companies across the UK, US, Canada, Europe and Australia. This is a full-time, independent contractor position for a UI/UX or Product Designer with 3-5+ years of experience, working remotely with an international team. The designer owns the design process from early UX thinking and wireframing through high-fidelity UI, prototyping, design systems and developer handoff.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design process, from discovery and user flows through wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UI and developer handoff.
• Translate product requirements and business objectives into user-centered experiences.
• Create polished interfaces for responsive web and/or mobile products.
• Build and maintain reusable components, design systems and UI libraries in Figma.
• Incorporate user research, usability feedback, analytics and stakeholder insights into design decisions.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers and other stakeholders, and prepare detailed designs for engineering handoff.
• Review implemented designs and identify UX improvements for usability, accessibility, conversion and overall experience.

Required profile

• 3-5+ years of professional UI/UX, Product Design or equivalent experience.
• A strong portfolio showing real-world web and/or mobile product design, with case studies, progression from wireframes to final UI, and evidence that products were built and shipped.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment with international teams; excellent written and spoken English.
• Nice to have: experience with SaaS or B2B products, basic HTML/CSS, familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Framer or similar tools, product analytics or A/B testing experience, and experience with UK, US, Canadian, European or Australian companies.
