Urdu QA Lead - Remote

About the role

This remote, hourly contractor position focuses on leading quality assurance for Urdu AI training projects. You will ensure that AI‑generated Urdu content meets high standards of accuracy, fluency, cultural relevance, and formatting.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Urdu content and trainer/QA work against detailed project rubrics.
• Provide precise written feedback in English to improve contributor performance.
• Identify recurring quality issues and communicate updates to trainers and QA teams.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Activate and monitor contributors who are not working consistently.
• Manage quality workflows across remote teams using collaboration tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urdu, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Urdu with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong command of English for guideline interpretation and feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Urdu writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or similar language‑review workflows.
• Deep knowledge of Urdu grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, Nastaliq script conventions, and right‑to‑left formatting.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is strongly preferred.
