Usability & Accessibility Testing Lead

About the role

The Usability & Accessibility Testing (UAT) Lead drives digital equity at the Pakistan Digital Authority by overseeing rigorous evaluation of citizen‑facing digital products before launch. Operating within the UAT Lab, you will lead a team of specialists, design testing pipelines, and deliver actionable feedback that guides engineering and design toward inclusive perfection.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and govern comprehensive TestOps plans, usability studies, heuristics, and evaluation frameworks for national digital portals.
• Moderate high‑stakes usability sessions with diverse citizen cohorts, including marginalized groups and users of assistive technologies.
• Conduct exhaustive accessibility audits combining automated scans and manual testing to ensure WCAG 2.1+ AA/AAA compliance, screen‑reader compatibility, keyboard‑only navigation, and cognitive accessibility.
• Synthesize findings into prioritized development tickets with precise remediation steps.
• Prepare and deliver high‑impact presentations for leadership, engineering, product, and external stakeholders.
• Integrate UAT into agile sprint cycles, ensuring no code ships without empirical validation.
• Mentor mid‑level and junior UAT staff, maintaining high standards for evaluation, script writing, and bias‑free moderation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of applied experience in usability testing, accessibility testing, UX research, or QA leadership within complex enterprise, GovTech, telecom, fintech, or regulated environments.
• Proven ability to conduct usability studies, heuristic evaluations, accessibility audits, eye‑tracking research, cognitive walkthroughs, and task analysis.
