Vendor Manager

About the role

Glovender, a fast‑growing supply chain acceleration startup, is seeking a diligent Vendor Manager to oversee and optimise relationships with approved vendors in Sialkot and Lahore, Pakistan. The role involves direct interaction with vendors, ensuring compliance, and supporting the supply chain team to avoid delays and maximise profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with company‑approved vendors.
• Meet with vendors to assess products, negotiate pricing, and address service concerns.
• Research and select vendors offering the best price‑quality balance.
• Onboard new vendors, conduct interviews and communicate responsibilities.
• Establish performance standards and monitor vendor compliance with international standards.
• Report required metrics to the supply chain manager promptly.
• Resolve vendor disputes efficiently.
• Visit vendor sites regularly for random inspections and order processing verification.
• Evaluate existing vendor management programs and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, marketing, business administration or a related field.
• Proven experience as a vendor manager.
• Fluency in Urdu and English.
• Ability to travel to multiple locations using personal transportation.
• Strong multitasking, negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
