Vice President of Finance

About the role

The Vice President of Finance will lead the financial operations and strategy of LOLC Microfinance Bank. Reporting to the CFO, this senior executive will ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies while driving financial accuracy and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all accounting practices comply with applicable standards, regulations, and the bank’s internal policies.
• Oversee timely and accurate preparation and submission of periodic financial statements in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage the preparation and delivery of management accounts to support internal decision‑making.
• Supervise regulatory reporting to guarantee full compliance with prescribed rules.
• Lead periodic reconciliation and review of profit‑and‑loss and balance‑sheet accounts.
• Direct day‑to‑day finance operations, maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Liaise with external and internal auditors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth audits and reviews.
• Support the CFO in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and strategic initiatives aligned with growth objectives.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a finance team of 25 professionals, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
• Implement collaboration tools to improve communication and efficiency within the finance department.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and controls to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor cash flow and key financial metrics to evaluate and mitigate financial risks.
