Video Editor and Motion Designer (Social Media Content)

About the role

Crimson Digital is a UK-based digital marketing and software agency working with small and medium-sized businesses across London and the wider UK. Its Islamabad team produces video and creative content for the agency's brand and its clients. This is a hands-on creative role focused on short-form video and motion graphics for Instagram and LinkedIn, where video and motion work is the main job rather than an add-on to general social media tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Edit and produce short-form video and reels for Instagram and LinkedIn, turning raw footage into polished videos with strong hooks, pacing and motion.
• Cut and assemble raw footage into clean, well-paced videos, including talking-head clips, interviews and client testimonials.
• Handle colour correction, audio clean-up, music selection and subtitles so each video is ready to publish.
• Create motion graphics, animated text, transitions, animated logos and explainers, and build hooks, sound design and captions.
• Adapt one idea into multiple formats and aspect ratios, maintain brand consistency, and animate brand assets into reusable motion templates.
• Design supporting static posts and carousels when needed, and build animated explainers and product walkthroughs for client campaigns.
• Use AI tools (OpenArt, Higgsfield, Google Flow, Claude) to speed up ideation, production and research.
• Grow followers, profile visits, impressions and reach through video-led content, test hooks, formats, lengths and posting times, track growth metrics weekly and benchmark competitors.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands-on video editing and motion design experience; agency or in-house social experience preferred.
• A portfolio or showreel with at least 5 short-form video and motion pieces (mandatory).
• Strong sense of timing, pacing and short-form storytelling, and good knowledge of what performs on Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Well organised, able to manage multiple deadlines, and able to work on-site in Islamabad.

Required skills

• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (CapCut alone is not sufficient).
• Ability to use AI tools for ideation, production and research.
