WASH Manager (P-4) – Fixed Term Position

About the role

The WASH Manager will support the Chief WASH/CEE in leading UNICEF’s water, sanitation and hygiene programme in Pakistan. This fixed‑term position is responsible for ensuring high‑quality, risk‑informed WASH interventions that reach the most disadvantaged children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chief WASH in planning, preparing, managing and monitoring the country‑wide WASH programme.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure delivery of WASH outputs in line with UNICEF technical norms and evidence‑based standards.
• Strengthen quality‑assurance mechanisms and risk‑informed programming across the WASH portfolio.
• Coordinate with programme teams, partners and government stakeholders to enhance consistency and quality of WASH infrastructure and services.
• Support monitoring, evaluation and reporting of programme results.

Required profile

• Relevant professional experience in WASH programme management, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance and manage multi‑sectoral teams.
• Strong understanding of risk‑informed planning and quality‑assurance processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with donors, government and implementing partners.
