WordPress Developer / Engineer (Part‑Time, Remote)

About the role

IT Guiders is seeking a detail‑oriented WordPress Developer with 1–3 years of experience to build, optimise, secure, and maintain high‑performance websites for global clients. This is a flexible, part‑time remote contract role ideal for developers who want meaningful engineering work alongside other commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and customise responsive WordPress themes and plugins using clean, maintainable code.
• Optimise Core Web Vitals, database queries, caching, and server‑side performance.
• Implement security best practices, harden sites, manage updates, patches, SSL and permissions.
• Configure and customise WooCommerce, integrate third‑party APIs, and troubleshoot e‑commerce workflows.
• Diagnose and resolve backend/frontend issues, plugin/theme conflicts, and deployment problems.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of professional WordPress development experience on commercial or client‑facing sites.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and excellent communication skills.
• High level of autonomy and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
