Account Executive – Freight Sales (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Account Executive to act as an extension of our freight brokerage clients' sales teams. You will meet with shippers, understand their needs, generate quoting opportunities, and guide deals through to actual shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead shipper sales meetings on behalf of freight broker clients, presenting how the broker can meet their shipping needs.
• Identify genuine freight requirements, secure quoting opportunities, and manage follow‑ups to keep prospects warm.
• Gather feedback on quotes, handle objections, coordinate with brokers, and work toward closing the first shipment.
• Develop ongoing relationships with shippers to turn single shipments into repeat business.
• Conduct bi‑weekly progress meetings with broker clients and provide regular reports on opportunities, quotes, and deals.

Required profile

• Experience in sales, account management, business development, or closing roles.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills with confidence speaking to decision‑makers.
• Persistence in follow‑up without being overly pushy, and a results‑driven mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple shipper opportunities and stay organized.

Required skills

• Negotiation and objection‑handling abilities.
• Basic understanding of freight, logistics, transportation, or 3PL (preferred but not mandatory).
