Accountant – Full-time Chartered Practice

About the role

We are a Chartered Accountancy practice seeking a full‑time accountant to prepare financial accounts, support tax compliance and provide professional communication with clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial accounts from trial balances, Excel records and other source data.
• Develop supporting working papers in Excel and perform year‑end adjustments such as accruals, pre‑payments, depreciation and deferred income.
• Reconcile key control accounts including bank, tax liabilities and loan accounts.
• Prepare corporate and income tax computations and handle electronic submissions.
• Communicate findings via email and verbally, ensuring clear professional correspondence.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Previous experience with UK accounts or bookkeeping preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting software such as CCH, Iris, TaxCalc, Xero, Sage or Quickbooks.
