Accounting Manager

About the role

The client is looking for a hands‑on Accounting Manager to lead its finance organization. Reporting to the Controller, you will ensure accurate, efficient and scalable accounting operations while mentoring a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and reporting packages.
• Analyze results, identify trends and support management reporting and financial analysis.
• Supervise, mentor and review the work of accounting team members, setting priorities and performance expectations.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy, oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations and support AP, AR, fixed assets, accruals and other core processes.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies, including revenue recognition and technical accounting tasks.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives and ERP enhancements.
• Act as a key user of Sage Intacct, optimizing workflows and reporting.
• Support external audits, lender reporting and private‑equity sponsor requests while strengthening internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Active CPA certification.
• Proven experience managing day‑to‑day accounting activities and leading a small team.
• Strong technical accounting expertise, especially in GAAP compliance and financial close.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced growth environment.
