Agri Business Quality Manager

About the role

BAT is seeking an Agri Business Quality Manager (Leaf Quality Manager) to lead quality assurance activities for green leaf processing and packaging. The role ensures product integrity, compliance with BAT specifications, and delivery of superior products to customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor quality assurance operations for green leaf processing in both factories.
• Ensure compliance with BAT Leaf Supplier Manual, QC protocols and local specifications; arrange sampling for ILPT and export buyers.
• Conduct inspections of packed leaf, analyse data, and communicate results to production and PMD teams.
• Provide accurate quality information for decision‑making, audit and continuously improve the quality management system.
• Lead and develop the QA team, promote a culture of continuous improvement and recognize achievements.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal customers (PMDs, export customers, blending team) and communicate product parameters.
• Design and execute trials and experiments to enhance product quality and support material, process and product development projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Proven experience in quality assurance within agricultural or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of sampling, testing, data analysis and audit procedures.
• Ability to lead teams, drive continuous improvement and communicate effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders.
