AI Engineer

About the role

CodeNinja is seeking a hands‑on AI Engineer to design, develop and operate AI‑powered software systems that deliver real‑world value, especially for financial data extraction and automation. The role blends software engineering, product development and applied AI, focusing on practical implementation rather than research.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test and optimise complex prompts for accurate financial text and data extraction.
• Generate rich analytics visualisations using generative AI tools and programmatic code.
• Build autonomous LLM workflows and agents to replace manual reporting processes.
• Fine‑tune or apply Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to models using financial documentation.
• Clean, manipulate and restructure raw financial files into optimized prompt payloads.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in AI, data science and software engineering, preferably on banking projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and its data‑science ecosystem (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
• Hands‑on experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex and commercial large language models.
• Familiarity with vector databases, DataRobot and SAS Enterprise Guide.
