AI Video Editor (VSL Focus) – Remote

About the role

KittySpout, a premium DTC brand selling stainless steel cat water fountains, filters and accessories, and its new DoggySpout brand, is looking for a Direct Response Video Editor. You will edit, produce and manage several creative projects, with a heavy focus on paid ad creatives for Meta Platforms (VSLs, short and long form). You turn raw UGC into high-converting direct response ads that scale across paid channels. The role is fully remote, requires fluent English and 3+ years of experience.

Key responsibilities

• Produce 8 ad briefs per week, keeping volume and quality in balance
• Edit VSLs and direct response video ads using AI-first workflows, applying direct-response principles (hooks, problem/solution flow, testimonials, CTAs)
• Create ad variations and iterate on top performers to scale winning ads
• Analyse prior video metrics to increase views and conversions, and apply direct-response copywriting principles to review scripts
• Work autonomously, meeting deadlines without frequent check-ins, and stay up to date on social media and editing trends
• Keep clear, proactive communication with the founders and executive team
• Troubleshoot underperforming campaigns by testing different edits, structures and hooks

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience, including proven work on Meta/Facebook paid ads and Meta VSLs (long form is the bulk of what they run)
• Experience creating short-form direct-response videos for DTC brands, with named brands and spend levels you can cite
• Comfortable producing 8 ad briefs per week
• Runs a current AI stack in production, not one tried once
• Delivers volume and quality in the same week without being chased
• Willingness to work overtime or on weekends; excellent cultural fit

Required skills

• Professional video-editing software, with a strong preference for Adobe Premiere Pro
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Fluent in English
• Ability to combine storytelling with data-driven feedback
