Alibaba Product Sourcing Specialist

About the role

A full-time, on-site Product Sourcing Specialist is needed in Lahore to source products for the U.S. market through Alibaba and global supplier networks. The role focuses on finding reliable overseas manufacturers and evaluating them, not on local Pakistani product sourcing. Working hours are 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Research profitable product opportunities for the U.S. market based on demand, competition, pricing and trends.
• Source products, manufacturers and wholesalers through Alibaba and other international B2B platforms.
• Evaluate suppliers on credibility, quality, pricing, MOQs, production capacity and lead times, and verify their profiles and compliance documents.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, MOQs and delivery schedules.
• Research U.S. compliance requirements such as CPSC, FDA and FCC where applicable.
• Coordinate orders, production progress, quality checks, packaging and international shipments.
• Maintain records of supplier contacts, quotations and negotiations.

Required profile

• Good working knowledge of Alibaba.com and its sourcing process.
• Ability to find and evaluate overseas manufacturers, wholesalers and exporters.
• Strong research, negotiation, communication and analytical skills; attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Genuine interest in international trade, global sourcing and U.S. eCommerce.
• Preferred: experience sourcing from China via Alibaba or similar platforms, familiarity with Global Sources, Made-in-China or 1688, basic knowledge of shipping, customs and Incoterms, and experience with private label, wholesale or OEM/ODM.
