Area Sales Manager - FMCG, Karachi

About the role

A permanent, onsite Area Sales Manager is sought to drive growth and market share for a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) portfolio in the South region. The position is based in Karachi and offers the chance to lead and expand sales operations in a key territory.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets in the assigned territory.
• Manage and nurture key accounts, building strong relationships with distributors and retailers to ensure optimal product placement and availability.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity and sales data to identify opportunities and threats, and adapt sales approaches accordingly.
• Conduct regular sales forecasting and reporting, giving accurate insight into performance and future projections.
• Oversee and optimize distribution channels to ensure efficient product delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations to stakeholders, highlighting product value propositions and sales strategies.
• Lead and motivate a sales team where applicable or envisioned, helping it meet individual and team objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree.
• At least 4 years of progressive experience in FMCG sales, with a strong understanding of the Pakistani market.
• Proven expertise in sales management, including strategy development and execution.
• Demonstrated success in territory management, focused on expanding market reach and penetration.
• Strong experience in key account management, building and maintaining customer relationships.

Required skills

• Sales forecasting and detailed sales reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of FMCG distribution channels.
• Excellent presentation skills, able to communicate sales strategies and proposals clearly.
