Area Sales Manager

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead sales activities across multiple territories, ensuring that forecasted targets are met and budgets are effectively allocated. This role requires strong analytical skills, strategic planning, and the ability to motivate a diverse sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Share monthly sales forecasts with senior management and adjust plans based on feedback.
• Allocate final budgets to territories based on historical potential and monitor performance.
• Conduct daily analysis of sales plans, identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions.
• Develop secondary sales plans on a weekly basis to guide ordering and distribution.
• Lead monthly meetings with territory officers, communicate sales plans, and conduct need‑based visits to resolve issues.
• Motivate and develop the sales team, oversee market challenges, and provide timely solutions.
• Appoint sales teams to specific targets and visibility standards for SKUs.
• Monitor competition, conduct market studies, and share insights with stakeholders.
• Identify growth opportunities, enhance infrastructure, and develop or replace distributors as needed.
• Ensure timely stock replenishment and communicate daily sales figures to the regional office.

Required profile

• MBA degree.
• 4–5 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG.
