Artisan E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation)

About the role

The Electrical Artisan is responsible for preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and systems so that plant operations remain safe, reliable and efficient. The role covers troubleshooting electrical faults, maintaining motors, VFDs, control panels, switchgear, UPS systems and power distribution networks, and supporting PLC-based equipment and production lines. It also supports planned shutdowns, installations, testing and commissioning, and continuous improvement, working with Production and Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain 99.5%+ plant availability, resolve equipment faults quickly and keep downtime to a minimum.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in process equipment, utilities and substations.
• Keep motors, drives (VFDs), PLC-controlled systems and electrical panels running properly.
• Document all maintenance accurately and follow approved SOPs.
• Follow LOTO, PPE and PepsiCo and EHS standards; carry out risk assessments and report unsafe conditions, near misses and hazards.
• Support continuous improvement of safety and take part in EHS audits and inspections.
• Ensure all work complies with Quality and Food Safety (QFS) standards and supports QFS audits.
• Manage tools and materials carefully to avoid contamination risks.

Required profile

• DAE in Electrical (mandatory).
• 7 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance within FMCG, manufacturing, industrial or process plant environments.
