Assistant Manager Finance & Accounting

About the role

Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented Assistant Manager for Finance & Accounting to support financial operations in a manufacturing environment. The role involves maintaining accurate accounting records, handling banking documentation, and managing costing and inventory processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage all banking documentation, including letters of credit, import/export paperwork, and loan agreements.
• Coordinate with banks to oversee financing facilities, credit arrangements, and maintain correspondence records.
• Maintain comprehensive accounting records: ledger accounts, vouchers, receivables, payables, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities on schedule.
• Develop and monitor job costing, pre‑costing and post‑costing for production and projects.
• Supervise store, stock and floor closing activities to ensure accurate inventory valuation.
• Collaborate with production, stores and management to support costing analysis and budgeting.
• Prepare financial and analytical reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in accounts, finance, banking documentation, costing and inventory management.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA finalist, ICMA qualified/finalist or CA Inter/Finalist.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably packaging or production.
• Strong analytical, coordination and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• Proficiency with accounting software.
