Assistant Manager Finance – Retail & Food Operations

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager Finance to support the finance function of a leading retail and food business in Karachi. The role will focus on the company’s café and market operations and report directly to the Head of Finance. You will be involved in both operational and strategic finance activities in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and monthly management accounts.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow reporting.
• Oversee receivables, payables, bank reconciliations, and treasury operations.
• Ensure timely filing of Sales Tax, Withholding Tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Handle compliance matters related to FBR, SRB, SECP, and other regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders.
• Maintain and strengthen accounting systems, controls, and reporting processes.
• Supervise finance operations and support team management.
• Manage payroll preparation and timely salary disbursement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance experience.
• Prior experience in retail, FMCG, restaurant, or food business is preferred.
• Strong understanding of taxation, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Master’s degree or professional finance qualification preferred.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP/SAP.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
