Assistant Manager HR

About the role

The HR Assistant Manager supports the HR Manager in managing daily human resource operations, implementing HR policies and ensuring smooth coordination across recruitment, employee relations, performance management and compliance. The role acts as a bridge between management and employees to promote a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in manpower planning and recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviews and onboarding, and maintain recruitment records and candidate databases.
• Support employee relations by addressing policy queries, handling grievances and disciplinary processes, and promoting employee engagement.
• Maintain employee records, HR files and HRIS data, and assist with attendance, leave and payroll coordination.
• Support performance appraisal cycles, identify training needs, coordinate training programs and track training records and development plans.
• Help implement HR policies, ensure compliance with labor laws and company regulations, and support HR audits and statutory documentation.
• Prepare HR reports, MIS and presentations for management, and analyze HR data to support decision-making.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in HR operations or generalist roles.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HR practices and labor laws.
• Proficiency in MS Office and HR software.
• Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.
