Assistant Manager - Payables (Finance)

About the role

This Assistant Manager Payables position manages end-to-end accounts payable for a business serving logistics and retail. The role covers processing high-volume invoices, running weekly payments, handling vendor disputes and supporting process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Process high-volume invoices and ensure 3-way matching (PO, goods receipt, invoice)
• Execute weekly payment runs for logistics and retail
• Act as the main liaison with vendors, resolving billing disputes, freight charge variances and retail rebate/chargeback issues
• Perform month-end accruals, reconcile vendor statements and keep master data clean
• Identify bottlenecks in the procure-to-pay cycle and support automation initiatives
• Carry out other tasks and projects as assigned

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in retail, e-commerce or logistics
• Strong analytical skills to audit complex logistics bills and negotiate resolutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for managing vendor relationships
