Assistant Manager Projects

About the role

The Assistant Manager Projects supports the project delivery team in executing complex AMI initiatives and leads less complex projects to ensure timely, on‑budget, and within‑scope delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing smart meter roll‑out strategies, including development of a 10‑year rollout plan and coordination with operational users.
• Support system upgrade projects for AMI hardware and software, managing approvals, vendor SOWs, and minimizing downtime.
• Conduct R&D on new smart‑metering technologies, evaluate vendor solutions, and finalize technical specifications.
• Manage integration projects of AMI with GIS, SCADA and other technologies, overseeing design, testing, training and cut‑over activities.

Required profile

• BE in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• 1‑3 years of experience in AMI, smart metering, or related project management.
• Strong business acumen, data analytics, financial and safety awareness.
