Assistant Professor of Basic Sciences

About the role

Riphah International University seeks a dedicated Assistant Professor of Basic Sciences to join its faculty in Rawalpindi. The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching and conducting research in line with university standards.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students through lectures, small‑group discussions, practical labs and case studies.
• Organise and monitor academic activities, assessments and student research under guidance of senior staff.
• Develop and update curriculum, prepare MCQs and OSPEs, and assist in summative assessments.
• Maintain teaching materials, logbooks, and records of laboratory procedures.
• Supervise demonstrators and support staff, and participate in departmental administration.
• Conduct research and publish at least two papers per year in PMDC/HEC‑approved journals.
• Promote professional ethics, co‑curricular activities and continuous faculty development.

Required profile

• Eligibility as per PM&DC criteria for Assistant Professors.
• Strong interpersonal, self‑determination, multitasking and teamwork abilities.
• Demonstrated teaching and research competence.
