Assistant Project Manager

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in delivering construction projects on time, within budget and to quality standards. The role involves coordinating daily operations, maintaining clear communication among site engineers, contractors and consultants, and ensuring all documentation is up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with daily task coordination and project scheduling.
• Facilitate communication between site engineers, contractors, consultants and internal departments.
• Monitor progress against the project timeline and prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Track project costs, support budget updates and assist with financial tracking.
• Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate procurement and store teams to secure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records.
• Attend project meetings, record minutes and communicate updates to senior management.
• Support billing processes, verify Bills of Quantities and assist in quantity assessments.
• Identify potential risks, contribute to problem‑solving and support risk‑management activities.
