Associate Software Engineer (Python)

About the role

We are a small engineering team in Karachi building production‑grade software for banks and large enterprises across Pakistan and the Gulf. As an Associate Software Engineer you will get hands‑on experience across the full stack, primarily focusing on Python development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Python backend services and data pipelines.
• Package and deploy software into customer environments on Linux servers.
• Investigate and resolve production issues during customer deployments.
• Write automated tests, keep documentation up‑to‑date, and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure reliable, secure, and performant releases.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong command of Python, including async programming, type hints, testing, and packaging.
• Comfortable working in a Linux shell and handling processes, permissions, and basic networking.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and RESTful APIs.
• Based in Karachi and willing to work onsite.
