Associate Supply Chain Planner

About the role

Zones is seeking an Associate Supply Chain Planner to manage spend, inventory, and supplier relationships for assigned product categories. You will work closely with internal sales and customer teams to ensure product availability while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers to achieve best overall value.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, reducing risk of aging or obsolete items.
• Provide guidance to sales and customer groups on purchasing strategies and inventory planning.
• Execute purchase orders based on demand, lead times, location, and cost considerations.
• Collaborate with distributors and manufacturers to forecast inventory needs by warehouse.
• Oversee end‑to‑end spend management for the assigned book of business.
• Identify and implement total‑cost‑of‑ownership cost‑saving initiatives.
• Develop and sustain alternate sources for constrained or allocated products.
