Associate/Assistant Manager Maintenance

About the role

The Associate/Assistant Manager Maintenance ensures the reliability and availability of Biotech‑I & II equipment, minimizing downtime to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, compliance with cGMP and safety standards, and improving overall equipment effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
• Monitor OEE, analyse downtime and conduct root‑cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production, planning, and OEMs.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, issuance and consumption tracking.
• Support budget planning and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Implement condition‑based and predictive maintenance practices.
• Maintain SAP PM documentation, notifications and reporting.
• Oversee equipment installation, commissioning and validation (SAT/IQ/OQ).
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety standards, LOTO procedures and audit requirements.
• Lead maintenance planning, scheduling and hands‑on execution.
• Drive continuous‑improvement and equipment reliability projects.
• Provide technical training to maintenance and production teams.

Required profile

• B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in pharma/biotech equipment maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of biotech/sterile area equipment and cGMP guidelines.
• Familiarity with autonomous maintenance concepts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
