Project Engineer – Manufacturing Projects

About the role

The Project Engineer supports planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects aligned with business goals. Reporting to the Manager Engineering & Projects, the role acts as a key facilitator between stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful facility project initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support preparation of comprehensive engineering project plans, including timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to coordinate project tasks.
• Manage the full lifecycle of new facility projects from design through construction.
• Track project milestones, maintain documentation, and provide progress updates to regional and site leadership.
• Ensure compliance with laws, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout the project.
• Identify risks early, communicate them, and assist in developing solutions to keep schedules.
• Facilitate communication among internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Oversee vendor activities, including procurement support, contract adherence, and supplier performance evaluation.
• Monitor and report key performance indicators such as schedule adherence, budget control, and quality outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes.

Required profile

• B.Sc. degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in manufacturing maintenance, preferably in compliant factory environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and fire safety systems.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Understanding of LOTO, electrical and machine safety procedures, and SBT.
• Familiarity with A3 problem solving, CAPEX and OPEX management.
