AWS Architect – Remote – $100,000/year

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS Architect to take ownership of reliability across a portfolio of more than 50 SaaS products. Working remotely, you will dive into undocumented AWS environments, restore order, and build automation that eliminates recurring failures.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute sophisticated infrastructure migrations, consolidations, and production‑grade automations.
• Develop and maintain monitoring solutions that detect corner‑case failures.
• Diagnose production outages, deploy immediate remediation, and produce thorough root‑cause analyses with permanent corrective actions.
• Author, review, and execute production changes, including safe rollout strategies, soak periods, and rollback procedures.
• Create and maintain runbooks, deployment sequences, and engineering controls that separate infrastructure issues from application bugs.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a substantial SaaS product in AWS.
• Expert‑level knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Strong production‑quality coding ability in Python or JavaScript.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot in real time and produce 5‑Why analyses.
• Comfort with using AI tools as daily assistants and making autonomous remediation decisions.
