AWS Engineer - Cloud (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure for high‑traffic applications. This remote contract role focuses on optimizing AWS services for performance, cost, and security while working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain AWS resources such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Monitor system health with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third‑party tools to ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot incidents related to AWS services, networking, and security configurations.
• Document infrastructure, processes, and best practices for team knowledge sharing and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with core AWS services.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to security and cost optimization.

Required skills

• AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM)
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• CI/CD tools: AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy
• Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting
• Monitoring: CloudWatch, CloudTrail
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes on AWS
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or equivalent experience)
