Back-End Support Doctor (Clinical Operations) - Night Shift

About the role

TekSoft supports US-based physicians who care for patients in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and home-based or telehealth programs. As a Back-End Support Executive, you work the night shift reviewing patient information across several EHRs, preparing concise clinical notes and escalating priority issues to the on-call US doctor in real time, mainly by voice and text on Google Chat. The position is full-time and onsite in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Block 13D, Karachi.

Key responsibilities

• Chart review and data abstraction: review admission notes, progress notes, vitals, I/O, labs, imaging and orders across EHRs, and track trends in vitals, labs and test results.
• Clinical documentation: draft clear clinical notes in the EHR, add encounter information and update problem lists, medication lists and allergies, and keep time-stamped logs of actions and communications.
• Triage and escalation: prioritize abnormal findings and escalate them to the US physician using the escalation matrix, summarizing each case clearly.
• Communication: work with US physicians via Google Chat and coordinate internally to fix EHR access, missing data or documentation gaps.
• Compliance and quality: follow HIPAA/PHI confidentiality, SOPs and documentation standards, and meet SLAs and quality targets.

Required profile

• MBBS (mandatory).
• Comfortable working night shifts aligned to US hours.
• Strong grasp of medical terminology, clinical reasoning and basic interpretation of vitals and labs.
• Excellent written and verbal English, with fast, accurate typing and good attention to detail.
• Nice to have: prior experience in clinical operations, hospitalist programs, RPM/CCM or back-office physician support, and familiarity with US payer workflows and common EHRs such as Epic, PCC, Athena, eCW and Elation.
