Medical Superintendent

About the role

Ahmad Healthcare Hospital is looking for a Medical Superintendent to oversee day-to-day clinical operations and ensure safe, high-quality patient care. This is a full-time, on-site position in Lahore. The role involves supervising medical staff, coordinating with department heads and implementing policies that meet regulatory standards and hospital objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise medical staff and coordinate with department heads
• Implement policies aligned with regulatory standards and hospital objectives
• Monitor clinical performance and support quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure effective resource utilization across departments
• Manage incident reporting and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Maintain strong communication with leadership, clinicians and support teams
• Take part in strategic planning, emergency preparedness and staff training

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with valid registration
• Postgraduate qualification in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management or a related field is preferred
• Several years of progressively responsible experience in hospital or clinical management, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong leadership, team management and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
• Commitment to ethical medical practice, patient-centered care and continuous professional development
