Backend Developer (Python) – FastAPI & Microservices

About the role

NexaQuanta is seeking an experienced Backend Developer proficient in Python to join its engineering team in Lahore. You will design, build and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs that power the company’s products, collaborating closely with product, frontend and leadership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI and Pydantic.
• Write unit and integration tests with Pytest to ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, identify anti‑patterns and propose refactorings.
• Design technical specifications and translate business requirements into robust solutions.
• Implement microservices, event‑driven architectures and containerised applications with Docker and Docker Compose.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, version control and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver new features and products.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience in Python.
• Strong understanding of OOP and functional programming concepts.
• Experience with software design, architecture and SDLC processes.
