Bio-Medical Engineer

About the role

SAS Enterprises is hiring a Bio-Medical Engineer for its client hospital in Dhoraji Society, Karachi. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance of medical instruments and equipment across hospital departments, gives technical advice on repair versus replacement, and keeps accurate maintenance records.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain all medical instruments and give technical guidance to improve equipment performance
• Recommend whether equipment should be bought new or repaired, and keep accurate maintenance records
• Supervise the Bio-Medical department for each department's machinery, including Operation Theatre, ICU, NICU, Gynae, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Laboratory, Emergency, Compressor Room, Eye, Dental, Endoscopy, ENT and Physiotherapy
• Cover equipment such as anesthesia machines, ventilators, multi-parameter monitors, C-Arm machines, sterilization systems, dialysis machines, defibrillators, incubators, CTG machines, X-Ray and ultrasound systems, lab centrifuges and autoclaves
• Coordinate vendors and after-market service contracts (AMC)

Required profile

• Preventive and corrective maintenance of diagnostic, therapeutic and life-support equipment
• Troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical and electronic medical devices
• Equipment lifecycle planning and repair-versus-replace recommendations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with attention to detail
• Effective communication with clinical staff across departments

What we offer

• Salary of PKR 60,000 to 90,000 per month
