Biomedical Researcher

About the role

A Biomedical Researcher is sought to support biomedical, healthcare and biosciences research, especially in cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, autism and other neurological and chronic conditions. The role combines research writing, grant preparation and proposal management with work across cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out biomedical research on cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, autism and related conditions
• Perform systematic literature reviews and analyse peer-reviewed publications, clinical studies and emerging findings
• Develop research concepts, objectives, methodologies and proposals
• Write, prepare and edit research papers, manuscripts, white papers and grant applications
• Identify national and international funding opportunities and develop proposals, including submission, follow-up and approval coordination
• Ensure proposals meet funding guidelines, submission requirements, scientific standards and ethical considerations
• Establish collaborations with universities, healthcare institutions, research organisations and funding agencies
• Analyse data from PubMed, NIH RePORTER, clinical trial registries and other databases
• Monitor emerging technologies and trends, and prepare reports, presentations and documentation
• Collaborate with technical and scientific teams to turn findings into solutions

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences or a related field; Master's preferred
• At least 3 years of experience in biomedical or healthcare research
• Demonstrated experience in scientific writing and in preparing and submitting research proposals and grant applications
• Familiarity with academic research methods, scientific ethics and research compliance
