Branch Auditor

About the role

The Branch Auditor will execute audit assignments in line with the monthly audit plan, coordinate with supervisors on the annual risk‑based plan, and ensure compliance with internal audit standards throughout the audit lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Execute audit assignments according to the approved monthly audit plan.
• Coordinate with supervisors for the annual risk‑based audit plan and assist in finalising monthly schedules.
• Review, document, evaluate and test internal controls, systems and regulatory compliance.
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify control gaps and operational risks.
• Conduct entry and exit meetings with auditee management to discuss scope, findings and corrective actions.
• Escalate significant audit findings, control weaknesses and risk matters to the Branch Audit Manager.
• Prepare and maintain audit documentation, working papers, audit programs and official memoranda.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to discussions on audit issues and process improvements.
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements, banking systems, business processes and emerging risks.
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards, professional conduct and the Internal Audit Manual.

Required profile

• Experience in conducting internal audits within a banking or financial services environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and internal audit standards.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret financial and operational data.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with auditee management and senior audit staff.
