Business Development Manager - Construction Projects

About the role

Sperton Pakistan is recruiting a Business Development Manager for a client in the construction projects industry, based in DHA Phase 4, Lahore. The role combines winning new construction projects with taking full operational ownership of them, so they are delivered on time, within budget and to technical specifications. It is a full-time, on-site position with site visits, working Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and secure new commercial, industrial and infrastructure project contracts, and pitch directly to developers, consultants, general contractors and corporate clients.
• Review project BOQs, architectural and structural drawings and technical specifications to prepare competitive proposals and tender bids.
• Provide technical solutions and project proposals in coordination with internal technical teams.
• Oversee project lifecycles from groundbreaking to handover, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Manage project schedules, milestones, resource allocation and budget variance.
• Coordinate site engineers, subcontractors, equipment suppliers and labour teams.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, structural consultants and regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PEC registration required).
• 6-10 years of combined experience in civil project execution and technical sales/business development; prior relevant experience is a must.
• Demonstrated ability to generate leads, negotiate and close high-value B2B projects.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, structural drawings and contract types (FIDIC/local)
• Primavera P6 / MS Project and BOQ estimation
• Leadership, site management, negotiation and executive presentation
