Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer

About the role

Terra Bloom Design is a landscape design and production agency working with international clients, including landscape architecture firms and landscaping companies. It supports projects from initial design concepts and schematic layouts through detailed design development and construction documentation, covering residential and commercial landscapes, planting design, hardscape layouts, technical drawings and 2D/3D visualizations. The role involves developing landscape designs from concept to detailed technical drawings and construction documentation, starting with a one-month probationary period, after which a 3- or 6-month contract or a full-time position may be offered.

Key responsibilities

• Schematic design: develop conceptual layouts, site plans, planting arrangements, hardscape concepts and preliminary proposals.
• Design development: refine designs into detailed plans with dimensions, materials, planting specifications and hardscape layouts.
• Construction documents: prepare planting plans, hardscape plans, construction details, sections, schedules and other documentation.
• Planting design: select plants, set spacing and quantities, and prepare planting schedules.
• Hardscape design: layout patios, pathways, steps, retaining walls and other features.
• 2D drafting and 3D visualization: produce AutoCAD drawings, SketchUp models and renderings.
• Drawing coordination: ensure drawings are dimensioned, annotated and consistent with client standards.
• Manage revisions, coordinate with the team and review drawings for accuracy and completeness before submission.

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience in landscape architecture, landscape design, architecture or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience producing landscape drawings, preferably across SD, DD and CD stages.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Portfolio of landscape design projects and technical drawing packages; experience with international clients or landscape architecture firms is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong AutoCAD proficiency and ability to prepare professional technical drawing sets.
• SketchUp and rendering software such as D5 Render, Lumion, VIP 3D or similar.
• Knowledge of planting design, hardscape materials, construction methods and technical detailing.
• Attention to detail, organization, communication and time management, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
