Business Development Manager – Infrastructure & Consultancy

About the role
The Business Development Manager will lead the company’s BD function, driving pipeline generation, proposal management and revenue growth across infrastructure sectors such as water, transport, buildings and consultancy.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 12‑18 month rolling pipeline of opportunities in public and private sectors.
- Lead the end‑to‑end EOI‑to‑submission process, ensuring compliance, quality and timely delivery of pre‑qualification documents, technical proposals and service agreements.
- Formulate sector‑specific growth strategies, conduct market intelligence and support expansion into international markets (e.g., KSA, USA).
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with clients, partners and joint‑venture partners, leading negotiations and presentations.
- Improve win rates, identify cross‑selling opportunities and achieve defined revenue targets.
- Design and implement SOPs, templates, reporting dashboards and integrate BD processes into ERP systems.
- Lead and coordinate the BD and proposal teams, ensuring alignment with finance, HR and operations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (preferred); Master’s degree advantageous.
- 10‑15 years of consultancy‑based business development experience.
- Proven exposure to International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and large‑scale infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams.
