Business Development Manager – Payments (Lahore)

About the role

SUNRATE is seeking a Business Development Manager based in Lahore to grow its payment solutions footprint in Pakistan. You will identify new business opportunities, manage the full sales cycle, and build strong relationships with SMEs, enterprises, e‑commerce merchants, and financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, engage, and acquire new business clients to expand SUNRATE’s portfolio in Pakistan.
• Develop and implement strategies to drive new business in key market segments.
• Manage end‑to‑end sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, contract negotiation, onboarding, and retention.
• Build and maintain relationships with SMEs, enterprises, e‑commerce merchants, and financial institutions.
• Leverage industry insights to sell cross‑border payment solutions and commercial card services.
• Develop customized proposals and solutions to meet client needs.
• Conduct market research on industry trends, competitor landscape, and customer pain points.
• Work with compliance to conduct KYC and due‑diligence processes and stay updated on regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of proven sales or business development experience, preferably in fintech, payments, FX, or banking.
• Strong understanding of cross‑border payments, treasury management, and commercial cards.
• Experience pitching and closing deals with B2B, small, medium, and enterprise clients.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, self‑motivated, target‑driven, and resilient in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
