Business Manager – Dark Store Operations

About the role

foodpanda is seeking a Business Manager to lead the 24‑hour dark‑store operation. You will be on‑site daily, coordinating warehouse activities and ensuring seamless order fulfillment for our fast‑growing delivery platform.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end warehouse processes, from inbound receipt to stock handling, storage, and order dispatch.
• Maintain operational performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Implement process improvements and operational goals proactively.
• Oversee Workplace Safety & Health procedures, conducting regular risk assessments.
• Allocate resources, create schedules, and manage manpower planning.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to control fast/slow‑moving lines, spoilage, waste, shrinkage, returns, and refunds.
• Conduct periodic stock takes and keep stock variance within tolerance limits.
• Ensure compliance with policies, facility maintenance, housekeeping, and safety standards.
• Dispatch orders with 100% accuracy while preventing delivery of damaged or expired products.
• Maintain positive relationships with neighbours, suppliers, and foodpanda riders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
• Strong knowledge of supply‑chain principles, JIT, Six Sigma and customer service.
• Familiarity with local legislation and stakeholder management.
• Experience with performance and operational metrics.
• Ability to work independently, self‑motivated and excellent communication skills.
